Svobodová, Alice ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Body Posture in Disco Dance Performers Objective: The aim of this master's thesis is to examine how the body posture of disco dance performers changes with over eight years of competitive experience and to identify periods when the most significant deviations in body posture occur. The study compares the results of individual case studies among female participants and seeks to shed light on the issues of body posture specific to the disco dance style. Method: A qualitative research approach was employed, focusing on a deliberate selection of participants - disco dance performers. Selected tests assessed body posture using the methods of Mathias, Klein Thomas, and Mayer. Results: The master's thesis revealed that girls with over eight years of competitive experience often encounter issues related to pelvic tilt, specifically, 6 out of 8 girls exhibited anterior pelvic tilt as the most common finding. Another frequent problem was lordotic curvature of the spine, identified in 4 out of 8 girls facing this issue. The most pronounced deviations in body posture were observed in a 13year-old participant who obtained negative results in the Mathias test. Conclusion: Qualitative investigation suggested that crucial factors influencing body posture may include overloading and a high number of weekly...

Title: The influence of a movement intervention based on developmental kinesiology principles on female athletes in the 18+ category of sports aerobics. Objective: Determining the effectiveness of a 10week movement intervention based on core stabilization for correcting faulty posture and alleviating back pain in four elite sport aerobics competitors in the age category of 18 and above. Methods: Evaluation of body posture aspects in a static standing position, examination of trunk stabilization, Young Spine Questionnaire survey, and a 10week movement intervention utilizing exercises to strengthen trunk stabilization based on the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization concept enriched with a mobilizing exercise for the Sacroiliac joint. Qualitative research is chosen as the research strategy. Results: The 10week movement program based on strengthening trunk stabilization according to the DNS concept with an element of releasing the SI joint had a positive impact on reducing the frequency of back pain in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions of the spine by one degree in 3 out of 4 girls. Reduction in pain intensity in the cervical spine occurred in 3 out of 4 girls by one degree, in the thoracic spine, all girls experienced a reduction in pain intensity by one degree, and in the lumbar spine, 3...
Možnosti ovlivnění postury pomocí systému Marrko Core
HAJNÁ, Daniela
This bachelor thesis focuses on the new Marrko Core exercise equipment, which uses centrifugal force to strengthen the entire body. The aim was to find out what effect exercising with the Marrko Core will have on the overall posture of probands. The research population consisted of five probands who occasionally suffer from back pain. Changes in posture were noted in the head, shoulder joints, shoulder blades, lumbar lordosis and pelvis after two months of exercise with the Marrko Core. In all probands, there was a strengthening of the deep stabilization system of the spine, less involvement of muscles compensating for HSSP insufficiency and involvement of the HSSP even during normal daily activities. Using the modified Véle test, an improvement in total body stability was found.

Rozkovcová, Eunika ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Křivánková, Markéta (referee)
Title: Using elements of health and physical education to mitigate the effect distance learning has on posture in adolescent female students. Objectives: To examine the effectiveness of a health and physical education intervention program on the posture of adolescent female students after six months of distance learning with no social contact, extracurricular activities or physical education class. To examine how the effects of returning to regular in-person learning influences daily routines, lifestyle habits, physical activity and psychological well-being of adolescent female students. Methods: The research used empirical research and quasi-experimental design utilising a pre-test intervention (10 months) and post-test methodology to determine changes in posture. The 6 tests used to obtain data on postural changes were the Mathias test, Trendelenburg-Duchenne test, Romberg stand, Forestier flexor test, Janda shortened knee flexor test and gluteus maximus muscle test. 28 subjects participated in the study, divided into an experimental group (14) and a control group (14). The intervention program consisted of exercises aimed at improving posture. The experimental group received the intervention program and was included in every physical education class during school (twice a week, 45 minutes per...
Ergonomie spánku u vertebrogenních onemocnění
KRBEČEK, Adam
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sleep quality in people suffering from back pain and examines what factors can affect sleep quality, including how posture adjustment, quality of movement stereotypes, environmental ergonomics, and sleep position can affect sleep quality. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is further divided into three areas. The first area is sleep, which discusses what sleep is, why we sleep, and what factors can affect our sleep. Another area is the back pain itself. Including the basic anatomy of the back, the etiopathogenesis of the back pain, and finally the role of posture and the quality of movement stereotypes in connection with this issue. The third and final area is sleep ergonomics, which includes the definition and division of ergonomics, sleeping space ergonomics, and sleep positions. The practical part took place in the form of qualitative research. The study sample consisted of three probands suffering from back pain and problems with poor sleep quality. The research included input and output kinesiological analysis, interview and ergonomic analysis. Each subject underwent an 8-week therapy aimed primarily at correcting posture. During the therapy, sleep quality data were collected from a smartwatch and a sleep diary. The collected results confirm the improvement in some measured parameters of sleep quality.
Design and verification of an exercise program for swimmers according to the method of Spiral Stabilization of the Spine
LANDAUEROVÁ, Martina
The graduation thesis deals with the design and verification of an exercise program to improve the posture of competitive swimmers in the category of younger adolescents. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the anatomical overview of the skeletal and muscular system, it also deals with the effects of competitive swimming on the musculoskeletal system, the characteristics of compensatory exercises and Spiral stabilization of the spine. Content analysis, synthesis, and standardized test for posture according to Jaroš and Lomíček were used in this graduation thesis. The group of test subjects consisted of 2 boys and 4 younger girls from the Příbram Swimming Club. Based on the results of the initial testing, an exercise program was designed according to the Spiral Stabilization of the Spine method. Subsequently, the 10 minute exercise was applied 6 times per week for 3 months. Afterwards, output testing which was identical to the input testing was performed and changes were compared. Posture was improved in all swimmers examined. The verification of the exercise program can be considered successful. This thesis can serve as a base for swimming coaches in determining compensatory exercises.
Detection of the most common functional disorders of the movement system of children attending the No Limit dance studio in České Budějovice
ŠTINDLOVÁ, Tereza
The diploma thesis is aimed at detecting functional disorders of the movement system, which are most found in dancers attending the dance studio No Limit. Twelve girls took part in the testing and were subjected to standardized tests. According to the results of the initial testing of individual probands, their personal characteristics of the detected disorders were processed. Then a set of compensatory exercises was designed, which was introduced into the training unit. The compensation program was to be applied for 8 weeks, always after dance training twice a week. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the compensation program had to be terminated prematurely and its effectiveness could not be verified through exit compensation program. The diploma thesis is even more concerned with the results of the entrance testing, the interconnection of individual test results with each other for individual probands and the overall characteristics of the tested group. Evaluation of posture by the method of Jaroš and Lomíček showed that 50% of girls had good (almost perfect) posture, 42% of girls had poor posture and 8% of girls had very poor posture. Hypermobility was demonstrated in at least one trial in 100% of girls. On the contrary, muscle shortening was not particularly pronounced due to numerous hypermobility. The shortening of the triceps was more pronounced in 50% of girls and the shortening of the scapula lifts in 33% of girls. In the tests of muscle weakness, the most common weakness of the gluteal muscles was in 75% of girls, the weakening of the lower scapular fixators in 50% of girls and the weakening of the direct abdominal muscle in 50% of girls.
Determination of the most frequent muscular imbalance and create compensatory programme for footballers TJ Slavoj Třešť
ROD, Štěpán
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to examine the most frequent muscular imbalances in football players of TJ Slavoj Třešť team. Subsequently, we have developed a compensatory program to eliminate muscle imbalances. Before the introduction of the compensatory program into practice, we conducted initial testing of muscle imbalances. This testing was recorded in the tables. We have put the compensatory program into practice in training units. After three months of training according to the training program, we conducted final testing, which was put into charts as well. The measured input and output test data were analysed and compared. The obtained data was recorded in individual graphs. The initial testing found that most muscles and muscle groups are significantly, or slightly weakened, or shortened according to selected standards. However, this has changed significantly after the three-month compensatory program. Indeed, the output testing has shown the apparent efficacy of this program, where no muscle or muscle group was rated as significantly shortened or weakened. However, slight shortening or weakening was still noticeable in several muscles and muscle groups. This case was the most obvious at the abdominal muscles and the right and left side of the lower scapula fixators. For this reason, it is not possible to talk about total efficiency of the compensatory program. However, this does not reduce the very good results achieved.
